Dental implantology has been one of the most rapidly widespreading and developing fields
of dental practice. Recently, various implant systems were supplied, especially interchangeable implant abutments and fixtures were suppli-!l.
The purpose of this study was to examine the fit of various implant interchangeable abutments - Steri-Oss fixture interface. The maginal fit was measured by means of a scanning electron microscope(SEM).
The following results were obtained=
1. The largest gap was shown when Estheticone abutment of Branemark system was connected with Steri-Oss fixture (28.10 6.69mm)
2. In case of UCLA type abutments were connected with Steri-Oss fixture, the size of gap was shown in the order of the case of BrAnemark UCLA abutment (5.673.43gm), the case of Steri-Oss HL Hexed abutment (3.961.15gm), the case of 3i Gold UCLA abutment (3.01 1.35 g m).
3. It seems that the interchar, geable abutments, except the case of Estheticone abutment of Branemark system, can be used because most of intechangeable abutments don¢¥t have large difference in gap.
